We are seeking an IC3 Senior Data Engineer to lead the transformation of raw customer datasets into structured, validated, and automated pipelines.

Role Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer (IC3), you will lead the transformation of raw customer datasets into structured, validated, and automated pipelines. You will ensure these pipelines are ready for use in our profitability engine, and you will leverage AI tools to enhance transformation quality, accelerate delivery, and introduce new forms of intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex data transformation from ingestion to model readiness
  • Write and maintain scalable, production-grade Python and SQL scripts
  • Develop data validation frameworks to ensure data completeness and consistencyAutomate monthly transformation pipelines for scalability and operational efficiency
  • Use AI tools (e.g., LLMs, Copilots) for validation, script generation, enrichment, and documentation
  • Collaborate across AI, product, and customer success teams to resolve edge cases and improve logic
  • Mentor junior ICs and contribute to team best practices

Required Skills

  • 5+ years in data engineering or analytics engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience with structured and semi-structured data from ERP, CRM, or financial systems
  • Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and QA/testing frameworks
  • Expertise in data validation and error resolution at scale
  • Strong communication skills and ownership mentality

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Azure, BigQuery)
  • Familiarity with LLMs or AI-enhanced transformation workflows
  • Background in financial modeling, supply chain, or profit analytics

AI Expectations

  • Actively use AI to streamline transformation tasks
  • Propose new use cases for AI in data validation, logic reasoning, or quality assurance
  • Build and contribute to reusable AI prompt libraries or workflow augmentations
